However as of late we've seen an increase of requests for food hampers and individuals asking us for assistance with other things such as Utilities, Rent, and Medication.

A major barrier to increasing Canadian #COVID-19 testing capacity is a shortage of ppl needed to help process, run, interpret & communicate tests at this unprecedented time
Cdns need to exert massive public pressure to reduce red tape for diagnostic testing so that highly skilled scientists from outside public health labs can contribute labour & resources. Normally this red tape is important. Right now it is blocking our ability to respond quickly.
I am all for the red tape under normal conditions. It protects us all. However, we are a week or so away from large numbers of #COVID-19 cases entering our ERs and ICUs. Maybe more if stringent social distancing measures work.
