We stand in #Solidarity with our Workers in the #Unions & this is the only way to have a say in our Working Environment by #WorkingTogether & doing a #Strike!
People like us, who've been arguing against the broken Gears & For-profit exploitation of #Capitalism, comes in to help.
We're in a #SocietalCollapse as the Full Stop & Endgame of #Capitalism's Growth has begun! We need Calls & Movements for a "Great Transition" from this broken #Dystopia where we have a #ClimateCrisis, #HousingCrisis, #Pandemic, #EvictionCrisis, #HealthcareCrisis,...
#BiodiversityCrisis, etc.
As the system focuses on #Economic Growth, #Corporate Interest & Businesses First while exploiting the #Labor who are treated like hell & not paid a #LivingWage nor anything while everything to basically live is practically an Expense under #Capitalism.

From the very beginning, capitalism has always been drenched in exploitation, oppression, suffering, and death.

"The all-encompassing pervasiveness of capitalist propaganda, and the relentless dissemination of it across every conceivable media and institutional outlet, still leaves most people with a wistful idealization of some earlier, innocent capitalism"

"not yet befouled by anti-social behavior and violence or by greed."

"Such an innocent capitalism has never existed, and couldn’t."

"Horrific, state-directed violence in massive doses enabled capitalism to slowly establish itself,"

SPECIAL ANALYSIS: This #coronavirus pandemic has laid bare the exclusion of whole subsets of the most vulnerable in our society, exemplifying the toxic mix of racism, sexism, imperialism, and capitalism that the #USA blends so well.

A Pew Research report from last year estimates that there are some 10.5 million undocumented people in the United States. Many, if not most of these folks, find seasonal or full-time subsistence wage jobs in industries we now deem “essential.”

They build families, pay taxes, contribute socially, politically, and economically to their new home places. They pay billions into a system that profits doubly off their labor: by excluding these workers from any federal, state, or local assistance.

A thread about the English Establishment, state psychopathy, #COVID19… and why it really matters how people in power think. 🧐✊🇪🇺🇻🇳#history #ToriesOut #resist 🦠
The popular idea of a colonial official during the British Empire days was of a paternal figure dispensing justice and spreading civilisation, as in the 1935 film “Sanders of the River” (see pic), a grossly patronising tale set in colonial #Nigeria... 😬🇳🇬 #BritishEmpire #Korda
The reality was, of course, very different. Consider the work of Charles Callwell, a British soldier with much colonial experience, pictured here on the WWI Caucasus Front as a Major-General in 1916. #Callwell #SmallWars #ColonialViolence 🇹🇷🇷🇺

The collapse of the Amazon Rainforest is looking pretty irrefuckingversible as well.

Will it be on the path to total destruction by the end of the decade?

Pappelapapp braucht euch.

I just had this thought “OMG I haven’t published anything in so long! I’m a mess.”

Follow up thought: “I published a book a year ago. I’ve been promoting it ever since & working on the next one & publishing public writing. That thought is capitalism speaking, not me.”
I have to actively work to unlearn the hyper-productivity I once valued more than my own happiness or health. I have to actively resist the pressure to outpace academic #capitalism. I have to critique the system, not myself.

Addendum: Unless, of course, I am perpetuating oppressive systems & doing harm. Then, I need to critique & examine myself. But most of the time, it’s the system. 🙃
