The map of Russia is very big. Including the Kaliningrad exclave, Russia borders 13 countries on land and one country at the sea. However, Tsarist and Soviet conquests also led to Russia having some sort of influence beyond the border.

I have never heard about this person, he seems to have almost no qualifications as a historian or academic, in #Azerbaijan'i sources he is referenced highly and called a famous historian, which no one can verify.
Ekozyants tries very hard to convince readers that in history Armenia was always a geographical region, yet again a very childish and amateur approach. It's even more surprising that some people are prone to quoting him as an authoritative source.

#Armenia is the only Russian ally in the South Caucasus. As a result of its defeat in the Second Karabakh War in 2020, Armenia is more reliant than ever on its security partnership with Russia, which leads the government to avoid any statement on the war in Ukraine.
