The GDI constituency (not HQ) has been putting their chapters on hiatus as a move to both distance themselves from HQ, and to get HQ to respond with action to repair the damage it has caused. #gdistrike #causeascene 1/

We are writing you with heavy hearts to let you know we are closing the Dayton Chapter of Girl Develop It. This means that no new events or classes will be organized under the GDI Dayton name by the current leadership.
Recent events have transpired that have broken our trust as local leaders with the Girl Develop It national leadership team. We no longer feel that national leadership (@girldevelopit) is truly committed to the values of this organization.

As some of you following know, I've led this thing on Tuesday nights called "Toast & Tech" for about 3 years, nominally under the organization at .@GDImpls , the Minneapolis chapter of .@girldevelopit 1/
I have left that organization, but I want to leave behind something for those involved in T&T, and for those looking to make a space for learning that it inclusive 2/
