@AnneRabe2 @derspiegel As a Romanian living in #Germany, I find this insulting and misleading on many levels. First of all, #Ceaușescu did not set a room temperature in #Romania, because he would have been in breach of his own policies. 1/n.
@AnneRabe2 @derspiegel First and foremost, we had central heating whenever we had energy supplies for the local burners. That was maybe a few hours a day when the radiators were, maybe, 30+ degree Celsius.
@AnneRabe2 @derspiegel Individual heating was not really available in most places - yes, we had fireplaces/ stoves, but it was difficult to find wood/ coal for them, unless you worked for companies dealing with wood// coal. So a big no for most people.
