Last night I did a pre-recorded interview for @itvnews on Harry Vs newspapers. As if to illustrate the point I was planning to make about press power, interview was delayed whilst they fretted about whether copies of newspapers at centre of the story might be caught 'in shot' 1/

Many senior journalists are much more comfortable explaining why they deserve every single bit of their wealth and prestige in the current order than engaging with the substance of these proposals. This is understandable, but it is also fascinating in its way.

A national network of news co-ops that bring audiences and journalists together in a partnership to understand where they live, and the world beyond, will have a massive impact on the operations of government at all levels.
