Nehruji called Maharaj “LOOTERU YODDHA” & was shown black flags by Maharashtra; his stubborn stand lead to 106 hutatmas martyred for Samyukta Maharashtra movement, whose Smruti Din it’s today🙏😢

Recall this,Uddhavji?😢 twitter.com/i/web/status/1…
How was the #SamyuktaMaharashtra Samiti born?

Who was responsible for the deaths of 106 hutatmas fighting for a UNITED Maharashtra?

Who insulted Maharaj & disregarded feelings of Marathi Manoos?

Who’s responsible for creation of Shiv Sena?

Listen to Bhau Torsekarji👇🏻👇🏻
What’s reaction of Uddhav ji to RaGa INSULTING #VeerSavarkar ji?

He says - We disagree with him

Is that what Balasaheb Thackeray said when Mani Shankar Aiyer insulted Savarkarji?

Is that what #ShraddhaWalkar’s father would say?

That we DISAGREE with #AftabPoonawalla ?🤨

Bhawanrao 'Balasaheb' Pantpratinidhi (1868-1951) who ruled Aundh in #Maharashtra was an unusual king. His work at reforming criminals & convicts inspired V.Shantaram's acclaimed ‘Do Aankhen Barah Haath’ (1957). Balasaheb was born on 24 October 1868

Unlike rulers who tried to cling to power even when the end of British rule was evident, #BalasahebPantpratinidhi handed over the reins of the state to the people much earlier in an experiment inspired by #MahatmaGandhi. He also helped freedom fighters & revolutionaries.
In a sense, #BalasahebPantpratinidhi was among the reformist kings who tried to birth welfare states in colonial India. He was also associated with one of the most popular forms of exercises—the suryanamaskars.

Did you know?

Shahu Sambhaji Raje Bhosale (or Shahuji) (1682–1749 CE) was the 5th Chatrapati of the Maratha Empire created by his grandfather, #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj

Surprising little is known about this Great Chatrapathi who ruled for a long 42 years and...
...under his rule the Maratha Empire spread North, East and South.

Shahu was the son of Chatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and his queen,Yesubai. After the torture and barbaric execution of his father at the hands of the Mughals,Shahu and his mother were taken away as prisoners by them.
Shahu was therefore raised in Mughal captivity. He was released and fought a civil war with his Aunt Queen Tarabai to establish his Kingdom in Satara.

Shahu was a excellent judge of character and a benevolent king.

#Thread on the Council of Ministers of Chhatrapatī Śivājī Mahārāj - The Aṣṭapradhāna Maṇḍaḻa

The Aṣṭapradhāna Maṇḍaḻa was the 'Cabinet of Eight Ministers' of Hindavī Swarājya

#Hindutva #AdministrativeHistory #chhatrapatishivajimaharaj Image
2.
Chhatrapatī Śivājī Mahārāj sought to modernise & formalise the governance of the Hindavī Swarājya.

Feudalism was rampant, which was reined in with the wise *separation of the revenue-collection, & military roles* of the administration.

#Feudalism ImageImage
3.
The Aṣṭapradhāna Maṇḍaḻa was formalised at the time of coronation, although, there exist instances where Chhatrapatī Śivājī used to consult several such ministers on earlier important occasions as well.

I'm getting a kick out of posting statuses of Shivaji on Whatsapp& Insta to rub it in the faces of mullas.
I feel sorry for them that ter ancestors didn't stay Hindus like we did.We did not fear.We did not buckle. We resisted+
survived, we thrived. But now,we take it for granted, the sacrifices our ancestors made in holding on to our Culture, our identity when others gave in, out of greed or fear.I'm proud to be the daughter of such ancestors. The ones who converted had low Spiritual Quotient, not low lQ+
he ones born of them due to inbreeding have low IQ.They did it out of greed or fear. Our ancestors were warriors. Each one of them.Never under estimate where u came from. They stood their ground+

🚩#Thread: Shrimant Thorle Bajirao: The Expansionist Peshwa🚩

I pay my humble tributes to one of India’s greatest cavalry generals, a man who fought 41 battles and is reputed to have lost none, on his 320th Birth Anniversary.

The death of Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj’s first #Peshwa & Bajirao’s father, Balaji Vishwanath left the #Chhatrapati in doubt. Several of his advisors advised him not to handover the premiership to Bajirao.

From a very young age, #Bajirao used to accompany...

(2/18)
...his father on expeditions & diplomatic missions. Hence, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj was convinced that Bajirao was the right person to overthrow the Nizam.

On 17th April, 1720, a 19-year-old Bajirao became the Peshwa of the #MarathaEmpire.

The slant-history writing of #Leftist Historians has portrayed many #Hindu Kings and Generals in a negative manner.

One such General was Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj’s #PeshwaBajirao Ballal - one of the finest cavalry generals in the history of India.

(1/17) Image
The 2015 #Bollywood movie #BajiraoMastani too portrayed him as a ‘mentally unstable lover’.

Is Bajirao only limited to Mastani? Definitely not. So, who was Mastani? Mastani was the daughter of King Chhatrasal of #Bundelkhand.

The name of Bundelkhand is also found in..

(2/17) Image
...the Puranas, Dasharna Desh, a region famous for its gem mines.

Mastani was very beautiful. She is described as such, but there is no mention of the red color of the neck while eating Paan, as often rumoured by several people. She came into Peshwa’s life after 1729.

After the #AgrimaJoshua incident, most of my #NorthIndian friends (some are left-leaning) mocked me for criticising her & asked me what’s the big deal in addressing him as ‘Shivaji’.

This #Thread is for all of them who don’t know much about #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj.

Around 230 BCE, #Maharashtra came under the rule of the #Satvahana dynasty for 400 years.

It was also ruled by the Western Satraps, the #Guptas, Gurjaras-Pratiharas, Vatakas, Kadambas, Chalukyas, #Rashtrakutas and the Western #Chalukyas before finally, the #Yadava Rule.

(2/14)
In short, #Maharashtra was ruled by #Hindu Kings.

Unfortunately, in the early 14th century, the Yadava Dynasty was overthrown by the Islamic Invader #AlauddinKhilji, who was then, the Sultan of #Delhi. This marked the beginning of #Islamic Rule in Maharashtra.

And here at Ghod Kind the brave Marathas faught like tigers to their war cry: HAR HAR MAHADEV. It was a bloody battle by all accounts.

Since today is the day of #ShivajiMaharaj's coronation and becoming #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj, tempted to do a thread on his Madras/Chennai connection.
So, as we know #ShivajiMaharaj's coronation was held in a glorious ceremony on 6 June 1674. This was important as without the ceremony, Shivaji did not hold any "kingly" title.
After his coronation, Shivaji became #ChhatrapatiShivajiMaharaj. He also was given the titles of Shakakarta (Creator of an era) and Haindhava Dharmoddhaaraka (Protector of the Hindu Dharma).
