Smart Cities are deploying technology for smart & safe living for the citizens.
Jabalpur Smart City has developed JSS- Jabalpur Surveillance System- COVID, a platform to analyse large volume of data emanating from various sources for driving action through the War Room. ImageImage
JSS platform targets important features like reducing manual hardships in data entry through real time data capture through sensors and integration in single common platform, time bound grievance redressal, one stop shop for all citizen services during COVID.
#CitiesFightCorona Image
JSS COVID provides citizens access to handy information like hot spots in the city, Local/State/Central government circulars, information disseminated by district administration & epass facility.
My appreciation to Jabalpur Smart City for use of technology in service of citizens! Image

It gives me immense happiness that our real estate developers @NaredcoNational & @CREDAINational have come up with their own guidelines in tune with the guidelines issued by MHA/ MoH&FW for restarting work at construction sites to ensure safety of the labour.
I thank them for taking good care of all the workers, who are backbone of construction industry by providing them housing near the sites, hygienic food, necessary medical & financial assistance & taking all other safety precautions to protect them from COVID-19.
I congratulate NAREDCO for getting Hon’ble MoS(IC), HUA to unveil video on their guidelines.

Grateful to Hon’ble FM Smt @nsitharaman ji for announcing relief measures in the interest of homebuyers to issue Advisory to States/UTs & Regulatory Authorities to automatically extend registration of all real estate projects due for completion after 25th March by 6 months. ImageImage
This will be done by invoking ‘force majeure’ clause under RERA for COVID-19 pandemic. Regulatory Authorities may extend the timeline further upto 3 months, if the situation in the State/ UT or part thereof, so warrants.

#CitiesFightCorona #IndiaFightsCorona Image
Due to nationwide lockdown, reverse migration of labourers & disruption in the supply of construction materials, projects were halted in India & will take quite some time to revive in full swing. This extension will provide relief from unnecessary litigations & stress on projects ImageImage

Nandyal in Andhra Pradesh has come up with mobile hand washing units & Ghaziabad is using mounted wash basins on rickshaws for not just slum dwellers but also frontline workers, who are on the move in providing essential services to the citizens. Image

Cities are coming up with smart innovations & improvisations to boost India's fight against COVID-19. I am delighted to see how Surat MC has set an example by converting a 2 lakh sqft Multilevel Parking into a 540 bedded Isolation Centre in the campus of SMIMER Hospital.
SMIMER hospital itself has been transformed into one of the biggest Dedicated COVID Health Centres with 750+247 beds. Earlier Surat Municipal Corporation developed ‘SMC COVID-19 Tracker’ for tracking all persons suspected of being infected by Corona Virus.
#CitiesFightCorona ImageImageImageImage
I congratulate Surat Municipal Corporation on its smart thinking & execution. Such innovative measures by Surat or other cities should inspire ULBs. They should learn from each other on how to make optimum use of resources & strengthen India's fight against this deadly pandemic.

Collaboration is key when it comes to managing the #COVID19 crisis.

Dharamshala Municipal Corporation (DMC) & Area Level Federation(ALF) of Self Help Groups (SHGs) constituted under DAY-NULM came together to handle shortage of masks in the city. Image
President of the ALF along with four other women, who were earlier trained to stitch cloth bags are now putting their skills to use by stitching over 2,000 single layered masks & are now making more. Image
DMC is distributing these masks to its Safai Karamcharis, police personnel on duty, non medical staff working in hospitals & staff members of ASHA.
This is a praiseworthy effort towards increasing safety & protection for our covid warriors in these times.
