Is India denying anyone citizenship?
No!

Is India handing out citizenships randomly?
No!

All #CitizenshipAmendmentBill2019 aims to do is to make it easier for religiously persecuted minorities to get Indian citizenship.

A Thread on demystifying #CitizenshipAmendmentBill

(1/n)
Well, it's straightforward. We have three neighbours two on west, one on east.

1. Pakistan
2. Afghanistan (yes, neighbour. if you consider POK as part of India, we share borders)
3. Bangladesh

We have six Faiths - Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jains, Parsi, & Christians
Now, these three countries have religion of state - Islam. (Not kidding, It's written in article 2 of their constitutions)

So, the condition of followers of these six faihs is really bad.

So bad, that percentage of Hindus in Pak and Bangladesh has reduced from two digits to one

A short story on #Left, #Congress, #TMC and #MIM duplicity.
Author @taslimanasreen had to flee #Bangladesh after #Islamists / #Jamaatis called for her death for her book 'Lajja'. The book dealt with terrible attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh post-Babri demolition. #CAB 1/n
Taslima had to be literally smuggled out of Bangladesh to #Sweden. She wanted to live in #India, more specifically in #Kolkata , to be near her homeland. The ABV Govt gave her a long-term residence visa. Taslima set up home in Kolkata and lived on her writings. #CAB 2/n
Muslim leaders jn Kolkata were never comfortable with her presence. @cpimspeak then in power in #WestBengal banned her autobiography (courts later removed the ban). The #Left Front engineered anti-Taslima riots with the help of a #Congress Muslim leader (with TMC now). #CAB 3/n

About #CitizenshipAmendmentBill2019

The book 'India in Slow Motion' mentions about the Indian 'Will Power'

There were only 3 Empires in the last 2500 years which had conquered India fully (Maurya, British Raj & Mughal Empire). These empire were not built on Religion.

1/5
Rather, these empires were built on the hunger of power & wealth.

Even then, many parts of India (North East, Kerala & Tamil Nadu) resisted Maurya & Mughals.

Indians as a whole were always against Centralized power. They were united by culture & language rather than religion.
It was the British that united all these princely states and gave it a new 20th century centralized structure (a democratic one).

By doing that, India in Slow Motion says that Indians lost their Will power. The will to resist, like they always had since last 2500 years.

July 1933 - Nazi Germany
With the goal of excluding Jews from having full citizenship rights an Advisory Committee for Population and Race Policy met at the ministry of the Interior to discuss a new citizenship law
What followed was the Denaturalization Law passed on July 14. As a result of this law, the Reich government could take away the citizenship of those who were deemed "undesirable", applying to anyone who had been given citizenship by the Weimar government.

HALF A MILLION Sri Lankan Tamil Hindus are also excluded because Lanka is not mentioned in the #CitizenshipAmendmentBill2019.

But note how these mediocre, irrational, bigoted, feeding-on-crumbs propagandists are calling the CAB Islamophobic, not Hinduphobic.

IGNORE the fools.
In 1958, through the Nehru-Noon Pact, India decided to cede Hindu-majority part of Berubari in West Bengal to Pakistan. This was objected to by none other than the Congress CM of Bengal Prof BC Roy, especially as the Berubari Hindus had fled from persecution in East Pakistan. 1/n
n/n Bharat ratna BC Roy protested but Nehru did not budge. Matter went to the Supreme Court. The Supreme court held the transfer of Berubari illegal, said it violated the Constitution of India.

Nehru brought in the 9th amendment. The transfer went ahead. indiankanoon.org/doc/727445/

This man's hypocrisy is UNTAMABLE.

In his 2012 book Pax Indica, @ShashiTharoor said there are some 20 million illegal Bangladeshis in India. He wrote about them disparagingly, as though they were termites that had "disappeared into the Indian woodwork". Now he remembers Tagore.
In 2005, it was Tharoor's govt, the UPA, that proposed urgency in the drafting and the updating of the NRC in Assam.

The UPA Home Minister said he feared Assam could one day have a Bangladeshi chief minister. PM Manmohan Singh chaired the meeting. timesnownews.com/india/article/…
Also in 2005, Mamata Banerjee, outraging today, threw papers at the speaker, demanding a discussion on the scourge of illegal Bangladeshi migration.

She even resigned but her resignation was poorly drafted and misdirected and therefore wasn't accepted. indiatoday.in/india/story/wh…
