One of the finest examples of prehistoric rock art was discovered in #Clydebank at the end of the 19th century. Buried again in 1965 for protection, UofG's Dr Kenny Brophy & team excavated the @cochnostone again in 2016 to conduct intricate digital scans and documentation⛏️🔬
Tonight MSPs at @ScotParl will recognise the importance of the work undertaken by Dr Brophy, @UofGArchaeo and the countless volunteers from the Clydebank community who helped, including the local fire brigade - seen here helping to clean the stone👨🚒🚒 
After the 2016 excavation, with all recordings and measurements taken, the @cochnostone was reburied for posterity once again. @urbanprehisto was hopeful the site would one day feature a visitor centre for future generations of archaeologists #WorldChangingGlasgow #TeamUofG
