Day 10 of #Coast2Coast: Reeth to Richmond. Short day through lower Swaledale. Reeth is lovely but too many cars parked on the green.
Along the Swale. Wondering if buttercups are a cash crop round here.

Day 9 of #Coast2Coast: Keld to Reeth down Swaledale. Still blessed with the weather.

Day 8 of #Coast2Coast: Kirkby Stephen to Keld - over Nine Standards Rigg. Walk up (and a last glimpse of the Lake District in the far distance).
At the top - the watershed! And the (very strange) Nine Standards.
Now in
Day 6 of #Coast2Coast: Shap to Orton. Short stage (only 8 miles). Not in Lake District any more! (Though in fact still in Westmorland.)
Limestone country, with views of the Pennines ahead. And a SSSI flower meadow.

After a rest day, day 5 of #Coast2Coast: Patterdale to Shap. Beautiful but long day. Climbing out of Patterdale.

Temporary switch in focus of this account: am doing the #Coast2Coast walk starting today with St Bees/Ennerdale. Views out to sea (Isle of Man) and inland to Lake District.
