🚑 Week 2 Injury Thread 🚑

Full write up Tuesday with @TheFFBallers

My quick, concise thoughts on each injury + what we know now 👇
#49ers RB situation:

Trey Sermon: in concussion protocol

Elijah Mitchell: R shoulder injury, team believes is a "stinger type injury"; MRI tomorrow

Ja'Mycal Hasty: Ankle injury, to be evaluated more tomorrow. Severity currently unknown
#Browns Baker Mayfield

L shoulder dislocation: Returned to the game and was effective. Will be fine moving forward but is likely to require offseason labral repair surgery. If this was his R shoulder, he'd be done for the year

Bradshaw was the #1 pick in 1970.
Things weren’t easy at the start, but by 1978 he was in his prime.

This was called a pick by Marcus Peters.

Play stand after review.

Closer look at the play.

The refs called the previous play a Pick [somehow] and the #Colts lost Darius Leonard to an injury right after on defense.

I'm proud of this one. Hopefully, it makes you think.

Jonathan Taylor Will be a Workhorse But Will it be in Year One?… via @4for4football
Jonathan Taylor is going to be a stud — there is absolutely no question in my mind.

However, considering you have to draft him at the beginning of the 3rd-round it's important to consider his range of outcomes — not just his talent.
An interesting comp for Jonathan Taylor is Nick Chubb —explosive 2.5-down runners with similar draft capital and most importantly, drafted to very similar situations:

#Browns Carlos Hyde, Duke Johnson, Nick Chubb
#Colts Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, Jonathan Taylor

Instant Round 2 Grades! Here we go! #NFLDraft2020

Starting with...
33. CIN - Tee Higgins WR9 ... C

My 44th overall player, I think there are better values & better WRs available.

I also would've gone OT here, unless an AJ Green trade is imminent.

Building around Burrow is a good move, though. #Bengals
34. IND - Michael Pittman Jr. WR12 ... D

I'm lower than many on Pittman - 53rd - I just think there are much better prospects at WR. Multiple are still on the board: Laviska 21st, Mims 36th, Edwards 43rd.

Also, not the route I would've gone here with such a valuable pick.

The Contested Catch "If It Were Me" Mock #NFLDraft!

I pretend to be all 32 #NFL GMs for 2 Rounds using my Big Board (🔗👇) & rough team needs.

LOTS of trades factored in. Summary of them in the thread below.

(again this is what I'd do- *not predictive*)

A #Browns thread on the Andrew Berry hiring...
1. From what I understand, the #Browns offered the GM position to Berry late last week and the two sides went to work on the contract. The 5-year deal dialing in the same length as HC Kevin Stefanski was of chief importance to Cleveland - making sure the two were tied together.
2. I've been told by a #Browns team source that even before #Vikings exec George Paton pulled out of the process, it was essentially unanimous inside the building that Berry was the right choice for this job and situation. That said, Paton definitely impressed in his interviews.

This morning, I called this my favorite stat this year. But then I thought that was an exaggeration. It's my favorite stat for the #Cardinals.

Here's my favorite stat for every other team. #Thread
#Falcons in 2016: 1.57 TDs per FG attempt
2017: 0.85 TDs per FG att
Joe Flacco was 7th in pass atts in 2017, never threw for 300 yds, averaged <200 per game.
