10 qualities that make a #doctor popular (among #patients)
Surprisingly, it is not the #NEETPG score, reputation of medical college, gold medals received in medical college or number of research papers published. After 30 yrs as a practicing doctor, I present my observations here
1. Ability to #listen: You will be #popular if you let your patients speak without interrupting them. You should start only after patients have finished saying what they have to. Also, they like it, if you don't interrupt or cut them short, while they are speaking.
2. #Smile: Patients love it, if you smile while receiving them. A serious face puts them off. If you get angry (even if it is their fault such as if they arrived late, or they have not followed your instructions), your popularity as a doctor would diminish. Smile relaxes them.

Do you need a #multicloud #strategy? Most likely, not. Just use one cloud that fits your needs.

The chances are that your project is multi-#cloud, anyway. There are nuances, of course.

One is TRAFFIC. The cost can go up depending on the path it follows.

A thread 👇🧵

1/6 Image
The bigger the company, the bigger the chance that you are already using multiple #clouds. Generic public clouds (#AWS, #GCP, #Azure), private clouds (#VMWare, #Nutanix), and specialized clouds (#Cloudflare, #Vercel) can all be combined together for the benefit of your org.

2/6
If you have just a few GBs of traffic a month, then this would most likely not have a big impact on your #cloud #costs. But if you have more than a few GBs per hour, a #multicloud setup may bring you some surprises.

The #Taiwan Manufacturing #PMI dropped to 42.7 in August, indicative of a sharp deterioration in operating conditions that was the worst recorded since May 2020 (1/5)

Taking a closer look at the Taiwan Manufacturing PMI data for August shows a deepening downturn in #production. Excluding the initial pandemic lockdowns in 2020, the drop in output was the worst seen since the #GFC in 2009 (2/5)
Firms cut output further as global #demand conditions weakened notably, with new #export orders dropping at one of the fastest rates on record (3/5)

Disclaimer: In no way do I recommend doing what I'm about to post. This is just the breakdown of an experiment that was successful. Replicate at your own risk.

THREAD 🧵 (1/16)
🚨 DISCLAIMER: Please don't attempt this on your last few $. It's a quick & dirty method on how to make some money FAST. It doesn't work 100% of the time and it surely is NOT sustainable. This CAN fail just like any other business.

Before actually elaborating this #strategy, I will first share the results and then break down the #costs and #resources which will be required for this to replicate.

Officially, the German federal government wants to save nothing less than the world #climate. In order to achieve this megalomaniac goal, it does not shy away from any expenditure that costs our economy around 50 billion euros annually in the form of high taxes and subsidies. /1
This moralizing #climate activism makes every German citizen poorer by at least 600 euros per year. /2
But among the heads and chief ideologues of large lobby organizations, there is the naive hope that this massive transformation will finally make #Germany the world champion exporter again - through the export of #climate technology. /3

Net thread Inshallah ->
What is the difference between the value at risk (VaR) and the conditional value at risk (CVaR)?
Value - at - Risk is the purported worst-case loss under normal circumstances/market conditions developed using a computational technique and further specific modelling assumptions tailored as per the risk reporting requirements of a Trading / Investment Desk.
But I tend to disagree with the term WCL - (the Worst Case Loss), as mostly used by some authors in the field of FRM - Financial Risk Management.

Let’s talk about the economy.
You agree: “A logical next step.”
Would you mind if I’m blunt?
“Fire away.”
It’s shit.
“The economy?”
Yes.
“Well, that is blunt.”

You ponder for a moment, then ask, “Is this another of your enemies?”
The economy?
“Yes.”
An enemy to humanity and the biological world?
“Yes.”
I hope, by the time this thread is complete, you’ll tell me.

#society
We’re talking about the supply-and-demand, producer/consumer, deregulated/lightly-touched, invisibly-handed, limited-resource-distributing, market-based economy that prevails across much of the world.

“And it’s all entirely shit?”
Well, perhaps I need to qualify that.

The @NFIB #survey doesn't get much #media attention, but it should. Small businesses make up almost 70% of #employment and their #confidence tells us much about the #economy and #smallcap stocks.
realinvestmentadvice.com/nfib-survey-se…
In December, the #NFIB survey declined to 95.9 from a peak of 108.8. Notably, many suggest the drop was “#politically driven” by #conservative owners. While there was indeed a drop following the election, the decline continues what started in 2018.
realinvestmentadvice.com/nfib-survey-se…
Hopes for a #strong #economic recovery may be premature. While #stimulus will give a short-term lift to the economy, once it is spent, growth fades. Businesses won't #invest into artificial supports.
