(1/8) Sigh. All the in-fighting about $ spent & which orgs were effective & which weren’t. IT CLEARLY TOOK ALL OF US. We will learn in weeks ahead what moved the needle the most & where. But this isn’t a one-size-fits-all country & Democrats can’t be a one-size-fits-all party.
(2/8) In deep red southern states like mine, I’m inspired by the voter protection and grassroots mobilization efforts led by @staceyabrams. We need it desperately! Folks are curing ballots and fighting to count every vote here as I type.
(3/8) And in this deep red state, Democrats are in the superminority, & the largest party affiliation is independent. So we need organizations that reach crossover & fiercely independent voters. We can’t just excite Dems (there aren’t enough of them). We have to cast a wider net.
Holy smokes. Georgia is under 4,000 separating them and most of the ballots still out are in big blue areas.
2,441,904 for Biden to 2,445,539 for Trump in Georgia right now, with some 6k coming in from red counties but two to three TIMES that coming in from blue zones.

Ballot initiatives-Florida passed a $15 minimum wage. Colorado defeated another attack on abortion (22 week ban) and expanded paid leave. Washington expanded access to sex ed, universal pre-K passes in Multnomah, OR vox.com/2020/11/4/2153…
New progressive leadership is coming to Washington! Folks like @CoriBush @JamaalBowmanNY ran campaigns naming structural change, rooted in community. And despite unrelenting attacks each member of “the squad” was re-elected. Also Bush is first Black woman from MO to Congress.
