Degree of freedom that NSW gov has in next few mths very limited as the health system is already SEVERELY strained - of course gov knows this

There'll be tension in the next few months, protests, "debate" about whether lockdowns work etc. IGNORE IT ALL FOR SANITY'S sake. The government has limited choices & they know it
1/ Mal kurz was zu dümmlichen Nulldenker-Tweets, die den Ausbruch in NSW (Sydney)/Australien in einen Beweis für "Nichtfunktionieren" von #NoCovid verdrehen wollen. NSW-Regierung ("liberal-konservativ") hat gerade NICHT sofort/konsequent den aktuellen Ausbruch im Keim erstickt...
2/ Die Regierung von NSW zögerte nach ersten Fällen von #Delta (gezüchtet in NICHT-#NoCovid-Ländern) lange, bis sie strikte Maßnahmen verhängte. Macht erst jetzt harten Lockdown und muss diesen auf einige Wochen ausdehnen. Das ist das bekannte Dilemma aus Durchseuchungsstaaten.
3/ Im großen Rest Australiens (Labour-Regierungen), aktuell v. a. Victoria (Melbourne), sofort nach ersten Fällen harter Lockdown + Massentests. Jetzt nach wenig mehr als 1 Woche wieder ~0 Fälle in der Community. #NoCovid funktioniert! Alles andere ist die endlose Katastrophe.
