How screwed up is our current situation? I spent much of the day doing my Mom's SNAP recertification. Much of it is online (don't even ask about the NYS website 🙄) but I had to call Orange County DSS to touch base with an aspect of the recert. I was on hold for ...
... over 100 minutes before I finally spoke with someone. They said that a significant part of the DSS workforce has been laid off (I assume because of the lack of funding/support from the federal govt.) and the situation is compounded due to an incredible surge ...
