It’s a new Monday, so time for a new entry to #BatmanvSuperman references to the DC world. Today is Part 3 of the Knightmare scene, which is about that Flash cameo and the reference to Crisis on Infinite Earths (CoIE). All the details in the 🧵 below! #RestoreTheSnyderVerse Image
I absolutely love this reference because as you dive deep into it you start seeing more similarities and differences with the story in CoIE and I think this one is also less talked about than references in BvS to Death of Superman, Injustice, or Dark Knight Returns. ImageImage
So, let’s jump into and first look at the main reference which is Flash appearing briefly in front of Bruce Wayne both in #BatmanvSuperman and Crisis on Infinite Earths to warn him about future world dooms. ImageImage

We should take a moment in this #SupermanAnalogue series to talk about yet another canon example, the Superman of Earth 2! This one's going to take a little bit of explaining, because while he's BASED on the Golden Age Superman, he's not actually the original character. Image
The Earth 2 concept arose out of the Silver Age Flash books. A world where the Golden Age versions of the character lived. When the concept was expanded to include the broader DCU, editors were initially reluctant to include Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. Image
The reason: top tier characters never had a break in publishing the way Flash or Green Lantern did. Plus they were ostensibly the same characters this whole time. However, eventually they were introduced as a means of exploring both continuity trivia and character growth. Image
