and the relative newcomer @Scroll_ZKP announced their ZK-EVM recently.

The core goal of all of these projects is the same: to use ZK-SNARK technology to make cryptographic proofs of execution of Ethereum-like transactions, or to make it much easier to verify the Ethereum chain itself.

Not immediately. The merger is an internal technical update, so don't expect gas fees to go down right away. Only when the next step of the roadmap, sharding, is implemented will network capacity increase dramatically and allow for lower fees.

As we all know, @balloonsville_2 was a highly anticipated release that ultimately led to one of the worst rugs to date on the Solana blockchain. However, not everybody is aware that @MagicEden had taken over the project, essentially transferring the potential.
With an original supply of 5,000 at a 1 Sol mint price, Balloonsville has seen highs upwards of 9 Sol. Since then, the team has delivered their version of tokenomics / litepaper for the project.

There has been great consolidation over the last few months, but still nearly 7million plus more buys than sells since the summer. This is primed and will re-rate in due course over the next month or so. Once approval is completed its game on!
