(¿O quizá no?)

#DiaDeLosMuertos started on Oct. 31 and ends on Nov. 2. The #COVID19 pandemic has killed more than 5 million people around the world. I have lost an uncle, an aunt and a cousin. And Beloved @rerutled his father. I send love and solidarity to all who remember and grieve.
We are not standing on level grieving fields. With lockdowns being lifted in some places, we risk losing whatever small pockets of grief we are learning to stand in as govts, corporations, CEOs rush us out to “normal.”

We have not reckoned with the magnitude of our pain & grief
Those of us who did not die must prepare to take our individual grief out into the world, find our place in communal mourning & nurturing & whisper to each other’s hearts “We know you’re strong.Look at what you survived. You can be soft here,we’ve got you” feministgiant.com/p/essay-some-o…

It's almost Day of the Dead, so I'll be sharing a bit about the life of José Cuervo. (Yes, a real guy.)

For unknown reasons, @JoseCuervo, the brand, hasn't answered my requests for access to their archives for years.

So please boost w/ RTs. Let's recover this history together! Image
José Cuervo Labastida, the second son of Malaquías Cuervo Flores and Francisca Labastida, was born on October 9, 1869, on the hacienda El Pasito in the foothills west of the town of Tequila in Jalisco. He was christened two days later in the parish church in Tequila. ImageImage
Malaquías Cuervo was already a successful maker of vino mezcal (later known as vino tequila or simply tequila) at El Pasito and the neighboring hacienda, San Martín, where he had a small-scale distillery (or fábrica). ImageImage

#NXIVM #MEXICO Thread.
In my research since the #NXIVMtrial ended almost 4 weeks ago, I discovered that #NXIVM #Mexico was/is MASSIVE, with ties to
#Government
#Hollywood (JamesBond?!)
and #Media
They HAD (still HAVE?) big plans…
2/ During the trial, Mark Vicente testified that Keith Raniere bragged that #NXIVM was so massive, with so many interconnected companies under the NXIVM umbrella, that it couldn’t be taken down.
Really?
Well, even the US Gov’t said it was big…
Much discovery evidence>sealed.
3/ So how big was (is) it?
Remember the Sony Hacks(?!)
In 2015, it was revealed via those leaked emails that the Mexican government paid $20 million (in form of tax breaks etc) to Sony/MGM for a script rewrite on the upcoming James Bond film, Spectre: cinemablend.com/new/Was-James-…
