Over the last year's or so we've seen a change in the design consulting space from enhancing teams to strategic work.

This has been out down to the proliferation of design research practices and sometimes the removal of key research steps removed from processes.
One morning Simon received a call from the US and was asked "Can you design a value prop for a $6.4 billion industry, and can you start next week, and what do you know about tattooing?"

Sean received an email while at lunch with his team from Seattle asking for 300 remotely moderated 90 minute sessions.

The email asked him to take a breadth.

U1 is 6 people — how could U1 manage this scale?
Sean said 'yep we're interested, but it'll be tough to scale up the project with the size of the business."

Over the next few weeks the client in Seattle wanted to work with U1 and the project began!

Becky will takes us back to a time when conferences looked like this.

Thousands of customers flocked to Atlassians customer conference.

Unfortunately for researchers customers are bouncing around the conference and the environment isn't ideal for research.
To get around this Becky used Workshop Walls, conference attendees would walk by, share their opinion and a researcher would swoop in a have a quick conversation with customers.

Over the years it's iterated into multiple spaces.
