KRATOS has now completed 14 orbits around the sun 😀 We celebrate Feb 1 as his birthday bc he was about 8 weeks old when our son got him as a birthday present in April. But I haven't told the story of why my frosted face BFF is so special.

The family of one of Jake's friends were dachshund breeders. Jake was in his first apt & working a lot. Julie would often go get Kratos while Jake was at work. Jake moved back home in Sept 😂 Then joined the National Guard the next summer, & finally moved out again in 2012 2/
So Kratos was finally ours for good & was approaching age 4.
Anyway, when I had my tonsils removed at age 3 or 4, my Maamaw (mom's mom) made me a stuffed dachshund, like the one pictured, just all brown. I loved Doxie so much 💘 Much like the Velveteen Rabbit, I wore him out. 3/
