The head of human resources for the French satirical newspaper "Charlie Hebdo" has received death threats after the republication of controversial Mohammed cartoons. She was then moved to a safer place.
"I had ten minutes to pack and leave my home", Marika Bret reported in the magazine "Le Point". That was "very violent". But the threats received last week were specific enough to be taken seriously.
Bret spoke of an "overwhelming hatred for 'Charlie Hebdo'". The fact that she now had to leave her home in a hurry shows the "unprecedented pressure" the employees of the magazine are exposed to. She will not return to her old apartment.
