We took a gander at #DemDebate/#DemDebate8/#DemocraticDebate traffic for the Feb 7 debate. Volume was lower than the previous debate (peaks at 3.5K tweets/minute vs 5K), possibly due to the debate being on a Friday night. We saw little in the way of automation.

@ZellaQuixote Which candidates were discussed most during the 8th #DemDebate? @BernieSanders, followed by @PeteButtigieg, @JoeBiden, and @ewarren, with all seven participants showing up in more #DemDebate tweets than the candidates who didn't make the debate.

The right-wing accounts focused on Biden and Buttigieg, while the left-wing accounts mostly discussed Sanders and Warren (who was behind Biden and Buttigieg in total volume.)
