We can't celebrate our nation's democracy without acknowledging where we are coming from and the prices many have paid to usher us into a democracy. Are we really there yet? Obviously not, but we're on a journey and we can't go back. Image
There's still a lot to be done if we will enjoy the true dividends of a democratic nation. As we celebrate today, it's my prayer that justice, respect for human rights and peace will become the order of the day everywhere.
To build a nation that we will be proud of, let's not abdicate our responsibilities, but courageously and purposefully make our contributions. Happy Democracy Day. #DemocracyDay

Following the verified reports of insecurity ravaging parts of Arewa communities, we want to in commemoration of #DemocracyDay remind the govt of Nigeria about the sanctity of lives and properties which they swore under oath to protect #NorthernLivesMatter
It’s common knowledge from the election stats that Arewa gave @MBuhari the largest number of votes in the last election that brought him to power with its sole interest of seeing the improvement of Security situation in the North which was at its worse ever since amalgamation
Truth be told, success was recorded in the first phase of COIN in the North east, attacks on soft targets, bombings of religious sites, markets, schools and others soon became the thing of the past and were reduced to the bearest minimum, road blocks were off the streets...

Happy #DemocracyDay.

This is a great time to review the performance of our current democratic ruling party.

Now do you remember these promises? Let's review them one by one.

#MakeChangeGreatAgain
The first promise is "ban all government officials from traveling abroad".

This was not fulfilled. Buhari spent a whopping 103 days in London, at a stretch for medical treatment.

He also kept the presidential jet at Stansted, accumulated parking fees

#MakeChangeGreatAgain
Second promise was "revival of Ajaokuta Steel Company".

No point wasting our time on that pipe dream.

My attention has been drawn to the fact that Buhari gave himself ACCOLADES in his #DemocracyDay Speech

It's normal.

Relegation bound Managers always find a way to defend their incompetence until they are sacked.
Buhari knows he has ruined Nigeria's Democracy

He knows that Rule of law, Human Rights, Separation of powers and other ingredients of a virile democracy are now in RELEGATION Zone.

But like every poor manager, he will sustain the delusion that 'All is well' until he is sacked
First, Buhari failed to appoint MINISTERS for 6 months.

Such TECHNICAL BLUNDER is FIRST in history of our Democracy

He was a coach without players way into a crucial match

Thankfully, SENATE has now included a time frame for such appointments in Constitution amendment Bill

It was a flawless victory for him as his major rival stepped down. He was elected as the senate president unopposed. #DemocracyDay

FG has spent more on recurrent expenditure than revenue collected. This is shows that contrary to the Fiscal Responsibility Act, FG is borrowing to fund recurrent expenditure.
