📌 Atlanta Hawks #TrueToAtlanta
En 1948 la NBL (National Basketball League) dio un equipo de baloncesto a las ciudades de Moline, Rock Island y Davenport, que por aquellos entonces eran conocidas como las "Tri-Cities".

Entre las 3 decidieron que el nombre del equipo sería BlackHawks, en honor al líder de la tribu Sauk (nativos americanos). La franquicia se mudó 3 años después a Milwaukee y acortó su nombre a Hawks, sobrenombre que mantiene hasta hoy pese a los posteriores cambios de ciudad.
