[2/9] Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC), a PAC that focuses on State legislative races, is continuing to stitch together fear-mongering around anti-racist protests with an anti-immigrant message with attack ads against Georgia House Minority Leader Bob Trammell.
[3/9] This week, the RSLC launched radio and TV ads. Their radio ad attempts to draw a line of fear of the non-white other from Trammell’s alleged support for BLM to a staged vote banning local governments from hiring undocumented workers.

[2/8] In NY-11 a battleground district that represents Staten Island, the Congressional Leadership Fund and Nicole Malliotakis (R) both put out TV ads that employ a similar racist dog-whistle to attack @MaxRose4NY.
[3/8] Both ads seek to demonize anti-racist protestors, turning the participants into a dangerous non-white other. Like all dog-whistles, the ads avoid naming race explicitly but frame calls for racial justice as an inherently threatening force.

[2/10] One Nation, Karl Rove’s dark money super pac, dropped a set of ads in several senate races this week. Their attack ad against @DougJones was especially problematic which is why it has earned our spot as the most racist ad of the week.

[3/10] The ad begins with fear-mongering around BLM protests in San Francisco, New York, and Portland. The images are cherry-picked and mostly taken out of context, ignoring the larger picture of ongoing police aggression and escalation by Trump’s DHS. Image
