Just having a play with some historical test data. I always thought that a chase of 180 in the 4th innings was more likely to favour the bowling side, but it appears that 225 is about the cross over point. A long way for England to go to get there. #ENGvWI

This isn't built with any sort of predictive modelling - just smoothed averages from past matches. This includes all 4th innings, including those with minutes available or 2 days left. The probabilities aren't enough to bet based on them, but are interesting none the less.

When I was in school, I always thought why do I need to study subjects like History, where I have to learn about various civilisations, movements, renaissance’s, arts & culture, emperors & conquers, our ancestors, Religions etc

What is the value of history, in a world where new technologies dominate our professional and social lives, and an ability to code is seen as having the same high status and capacity for social advancement as the ability to read once did?

Why study it when it happened in the past and isn’t relevant for today?

I always thought history class was a drag. To me, history just seemed like a jumble of names and dates attached to events long over with and people long dead. What was the point of learning it at all?

I'm not sure if anyone noticed yesterday, but Jason Holder has scored 500 runs & taken 50 wickets in his last 10 matches (including #ENGvWI)

He joins an exclusive list of players to have done that:

Giffen and Botham both managed 600 & 60 in a 10 match stretch.

I have to appologize to Mitchell Johnson and Daniel Vettori. Both managed to do it despite not batting in one of their 10 tests, in the process fooling my database query.
