It took my legs a few minutes to warm up this morning, but glad to report that long morning walks remain easy, in contrast to later in the day. #Totnes is waking up beautifully ☀️
5 miles walked this morning, with no adverse effects. Then strimmed & mowed a lawn. Great to not be worried about my heart and lungs as I got a real workout from the gardening. However, I'm mindful of the warnings of some with #LongCovid that I should continue to pace myself.

The very hot and dry conditions of recent weeks has dried out the clay soil beneath the embankments between Tisbury and Gillingham 🌡️
When clay dries out, it shrinks. This is causing track defects, which means we cannot run trains at full speed 🚆

So, #Exeter has just told students to not meet with people from other households inside for the next 14 days, and social media is already awash with people trying to figure how to squirrel round it. My message to those people: don't. Don't ignore or refuse to follow instructions.
This measure has been put in place to prevent community spread. It is a stopgap, to reduce pressure and prevent more extreme measures in the future.
If you can't handle the thought of two weeks without going around your friends house, then imagine having to for longer, not being able to meet them outside, or even campus closing again (god forbid).

It was a complete shock as the exact same CDs I was selling were prevalent on most high streets and supermarkets. They were selling in their thousands in places such as #Tesco & #HMV. And #Woolworths were the actual UK Distributor of these CDs.
