2mrw in Abuja, the Court of Justice of @ecowas_cedeao will resume hearing in case of CARL v. Sierra Leone, in which survivors seek #EbolaAccountability for mismanagement of over $14m of relief funds from 2014 #EbolaCrisis.

The suit alleges that the mismanagement & loss of funds earmarked for Ebola response caused violations of the rights of the plaintiffs to life & health under the revised ECOWAS Treaty & other international law & frustrated maximum available resources from fighting Ebola.
According to the @WHO, Sierra Leone recorded a total of 14,124 confirmed cases & 3,956 deaths during the crisis between May 2014 & March 2016, including over 250 health workers, who took on the task of containing the outbreak.
