1/5 #Oilers hockey over this year. Enjoyed season, too bad ended early. Thoughts:
We lost cause we got out goalied and out coached. Smith was very solid but a level below Hellebuyck in every game. Not blaming him as he was great but #Oilersnation #nhl #OilersJets #EdmontonOilers

needed a difference maker. Hellebuyck is a Vezina winner and showed it. Needed that big save though to get us a win.
We couldn’t up our game in other ways to compensate for the fact that they had awesome tending.
Different penalty standards in playoffs hurts Oilers too.

Odd coaching moves:
- Would have liked to see 13 with 97 and 29 in OT as 13 played with 97 all year. Not sure what the thought process was there.
- Benching 74 all OT after he was on first d pair the day before.
- 9 forwards and 4 d for all OT is not a winning formula.
