For future sake, this is my own thread on #EkitiDecides2018

What are the issues?

What are the factors that characterized the election?

Enjoy.
Lemme first of all state here that my name is Asiwaju Oladimeji, from Usi-Ekiti. I am from Ajana family.

I schooled at University of Ado-Ekiti.

Worked in Ado Ekiti

Married in Ado Ekiti.

I witnessed Fayose-Oni-Fayemi-Fayose administrations.

So, i am rooted here.
Again, i studied political science and i have been involved with 4 Elections in Ekiti: 2011, 2014, 2015, 2018 as either INEC's ad hoc staff or observer.

So, i am at a vantage position of analysing voting behaviour/pattern of Ekiti people.

For those who have been looking forward to my comments on what I believe to be an inconclusive gubernatorial election that was held in Ekiti State on 14th July, 2018. Here it is
#EkitiDecides2018
1. You are all aware of the unfortunate and dangerous events of the past 24hrs, in which our governorship election was hijacked by political desperadoes leveraging on “Federal might” to pervert the electoral process, subvert the will of Ekiti people, & viciously steal the mandate
..willingly and freely given to me on a massive scale by our people.
PDP and I won the election overwhelmingly, receiving more than 70% of lawful votes cast and winning in almost all of the State’s 16 LGAs.

In October 2014, @kfayemi commissioned the new Ekiti govt house and governor's office.
thenationonlineng.net/ayoba-villa-in…
@GovAyoFayose was a major critic saying Ekiti doesn't need it as the state has one already. And described the 2.3bn edifice as a waste.
Only 4yrs after he swore to sell the edifice @GovAyoFayose will in few weeks commission a new Ekiti governor's office built at the cost of 1.9bn

This means that the initial plan of the Fayemi admin. to return the first governor's office originally built as a 3 star hotel...
by the Niyi Adebayo admin but converted to a governor's office by Fayose will never materialise.

So as it stands, Ekiti state on the 35th ladder of FAAC and a 2013 record IGR of 800m a month will have to service three multi million dollar government house.
