Dear @GaSecofState & @BrianKempGA: It seems Trump & other Rs are unhappy w/ the voting system that you & other Georgia Republicans crammed down voters’ throats over the objection of Democrats. Now can we have #HandMarkedPaperBallots & risk limiting audits 4 the Senate runoffs? 1/
2/ White House correspondent and former OANN reporter.
3/ Oh, and in the name of #electiontransparency, I assume you will commit to preserving and making publicly available all digital ballot images as well?

The risk of election hacking by domestic actors has always been underplayed. Transparency about our election system is crucial to maintaining the integrity of results and public confidence in them - @jennycohn1 on @deepstateradio 1/
Election-integrity groups had hoped to protect vote tallies in 2020 w/ robust manual audits (RLAs). But only 3 states will require them: CO, RI, & VA. If we want transparency this year, we’ll have to rely on grass roots transparency efforts. - @jennycohn1 2/
3/ Note: for some bizarre reason, I identified Vermont (rather than Virginia) as the 3d State to require risk limiting audits this year. It is Virginia, which I knew, so I’m not sure what happened w/ my brain there.

While ur busy thanking election officials, pls ask officials in FL, MI, WI, TN, IL, MN, & IN to refrain from using the cellular modems that they refused to remove from their ballot scanners, contrary to the advice of almost 30 experts & election-security groups. TY. #PassItOn 1/
3/ BTW, David Becker (featured in @BrennanCenter’s video) spread the myth—debunked by experts & anyone who reads what experts say—that it is almost impossible to hack voting machines remotely bc they supposedly never connect to the internet.

With proprietary software & an absence of meaningful manual audits and recounts, no one can know if electronic outcomes are legitimate or not — even in jurisdictions w/ #handmarkedpaperballots. 2/
It is up to us, the voters, to provide #electiontransparency where we can through grass roots activism this election. 3/

This short video explains our simple uploader process. The uploader enables us to display all the tapes and analyze them to make sure they match what is reported officially. Pls listen :-) @ProtectVotes 3/

The problem is that the govt & vendors have exclusive access to the evidence & Florida lacks meaningful manual audit & recount laws, so we can’t know if Liberty County was hacked or not. Why not write about that instead of critiquing those w/ legitimate concerns? 1/
2/ Meanwhile, the supervisor of elections for Liberty County was arrested this year for misappropriating funds for her personal use since August 2016. flsenate.gov/usercontent/se…
3/ Supposedly she was a Democrat. Who was willing to do illegal stuff to get money. I have no idea if Liberty County’s election #s were rigged for Trump or not, but to pretend that the system itself isn’t rigged (to keep this info unknowable) is irresponsible journalism.

Dear @RoyBlunt and Senate Rules Committee Members: DO NOT use the withdrawal of support of the Secure Elections Act by one or more senators as an excuse to push through the current version of the Act, which you unacceptably WATERED DOWN, or something even more meaningless. 1/
IT election experts agree that electronic tallies cannot be trusted without, at a minimum, meaningful manual audits and a secure chain of custody between election night and the audit. oversight.house.gov/wp-content/upl…; stat.berkeley.edu/~stark/Preprin… 2/
Meanwhile, the following states require no manual audits whatsoever to confirm the legitimacy of electronic tallies:

Alabama
Arkansas
Connecticut
Delaware
Florida
Georgia
Idaho
Kansas
Illinois
Indiana
Louisiana
Maryland
