After last August's explosion in Lebanon, hundreds of thousands of Christians are trying to flee Lebanon, creating concerns for the future of the Church there.
Father Jad Chlouk, parish priest of Saint George's Maronite Cathedral in Beirut, told the Catholic charity Help to the Church in Need (ACN) in an interview with the press that Christians felt alienated from their homeland.
The Lebanese media estimated that around 380,000 applications for immigration were made following the blast. Father Chlouk emphasized how Christian numbers have plummeted in the Middle East.
