The #PeopleofPraise isn't a cult. I've had half a dozen of their kids in my classes... these have been among the best students I've ever had. Extremely bright. Careful critical thinkers. Wonderful writers. I loved having them in class. So don't go after the People of Praise.
By all accounts Barrett walks on water. I've had that in a roundabout way from people I know at Notre Dame, including from folks as liberal as me, who actually look forward to seeing her on the court. I have no first hand knowledge of her, but take the above for what you will.

1. There is a recurrent trend on the #25thAmendment that I view as likely Russian influence propaganda. I conclude anyone with even minimal understanding of the Constitution knows that removal under the 25th for reasons that would fall under impeachment power is idiotic.
2. To impeach @POTUS @SpeakerPelosi needs ~218 votes presently. She likely has ~230 if current impeachment case was really teed up.
To invoke the 25th, first ~8 misfit toys in Trump Cabinet must grow a spine and @VP Sycophant agree. Then if Trump resists #Pelosi needs 286 votes.

3. So where there is any political resistance to removal, the 25th is much harder than impeachment. The 25th is really for the circumstances of a massive stroke that has the president in a coma. The signed document would likely end it. Congress unlikely to ever meet to vote.

Major ruling in #EmolumentsClause decision today: Federal court says that the Trump International Hotel in DC may be entirely an impermissible domestic Emolument because it was an invalid benefit -an invalid lease-from the federal government. See passage:
2/ Even though this is a "just" a denial on a motion to dismiss, the judge's conclusions are on the law, plus the clear conditions of the lease. This ruling strongly suggests that a trial would lead to shutting down the Trump DC Hotel as an unconstitutional violation.
3/ The judge first quotes the lease: “No elected official of the Government...shall be admitted to any share or part of this Lease, or to any benefit that may arise therefrom.” That language is clear: Trump could not share the lease or even benefit from it...
