I'm sure well-intentioned @CamCavendish but this piece completely mashes up #datasharing for #DirectCare of a patient and data sharing for #ResearchAndPlanning, and other 'secondary uses'. These are VERY different in legal basis, IT systems, and privacy.

For #ethnonationalists, I believe, any politics based on individual #equality (citizenship or republican politics) is #Unitarist - so #Nigeria, #Kenya (which ban ethnic parties), #Germany and #UnitedStates are Unitary, regardless of their robust federal/devolved structures - 2

No Counsellor/Therapist is 'neutral' in the room. Our visible identity (ethnicity, gender, faith, age, ability/disability etc) can't be removed, dismissed, ignored, made invisible. Our identity is reacted/related/responded to (consciously/unconsciously). It's how we work with it.

THREAD: #ndrangheta #mobility this week has been all around the news. Before getting caught up by hysteria over this #mafia being everywhere, let's look at the analysis of the facts. First, the 'ndrangheta is NOT one, it can ACT LIKE ONE in Calabria and only when needed.
2/ Unity is in 1) mafia behaviours, 2) family unity, 3) horizontal coordination in "dense" mafia territories. The peculiarity of the 'ndrangheta is that #ethnicity - Calabrianness - matters eormously for the resilience of the organisation, but NOT for criminal activities.

1/ A note: Most people appreciate the easiness of online access to archival material, but tend to forget that all #digitization is selective.
2/ This means that what you see online is usually not “everything” that an institution holds abt a topic. It's important to understand the digitized together w the physical. Even if you can't access physical records now, you'll be able to better contextualize what you see online.

There are nations with many religions: #multicultural #Britain is one among many. There are religions governing many nations: #Christianity and #Islam are obvious examples. Only in the case of #Judaism is there a one-to-one correlation between #religion and #nationhood.
Without #Judaism there would be nothing (except #antisemitism) to connect #Jews across the world. And without the #Jewish nation Judaism would cease to be what it has always been, the #faith of a people bound by a bond of collective #responsibility to one another and to #God.
