It was a very interesting & important debate on #CivicNationalism vs. #EthnoNationalism.
#BigBrother is very much on the side of the former, with @rikkidoolan2 demonising @thisislaurat's ethno-nationalism as RACIST & neo-Nazi.

It wasn't just academics, of course, but they are central, because of their authority & the influence they have on society's political, media & other university-educated elites. Also strongly influencing this madness were Jews traumatised by Nazi persecution & the Holocaust.
