#EuropeanElection2019 results in #Belgium interesting… big gains were the far-right Flemish party (+8.3%), the far-left Workers’ Party (+8.6%), and the #Greens (+3.6% if you include both the French and Flemish Green parties). The combined Greens makes them 2nd largest.
Interesting that both the Workers’ Party and the Greens can claim to be national parties, and together now hold almost 21% of the vote, much larger than the largest party, the N-VA (the Flemish nationalist conservative party) at 16%.

But as ever this country will remain unruly.
As a last note, #Greens continue to sweep Brussels, winning in even more than last year’s municipal elections, including my commune of Forest + St Gilles, Ixelles, Etterbeek, etc., and second in most other communes, including in conservative Uccle, Waterloo, etc.

While @yougov was the outlier in the 2017 General Election, it was also the closest to picking the final result, mainly because they picked the upswing in turnout among young people. /2
While the latest UK poll results vary wildly (especially wrt #EuropeanElection2019) the trend is clear - disastrous for @Conservatives, worsening for @UKLabour and miraculous for @brexitparty_uk (aka @Nigel_Farage). /3
