A mystery remains about the object that exploded to create the GRB. Astronomers used @ESA_Webb and @HUBBLE_space to look for the aftermath of the explosion, and found... nothing.

There is lots of follow-up work to be done as astronomers continue to search for the remains of the exploded star. One thing they will look for is traces of heavy elements like gold, thought to be produced in such massive explosions 👉 esa.int/Science_Explor… #ExploreFarther
