While we wait for the vote in the US House of Representatives on Articles of Impeachment against Donald J. Trump, I think it is worth taking some time to remember all the hard work that got us to this historic moment. A personal journey of 2019.... #ImpeachmentDay
Accountability began with the #BlueWave2018 in November 2018, where people all over the country said ENOUGH! Voters turned out in massive numbers to give a majority to the @HouseDemocrats. This was no fluke, but a MASSIVE effort by citizens all over America. 
Then the real crazy started, with new offenses every day and a long gov't shutdown driven by Trump's racism and spite. It is here where Trump made his first major attempt to take away the power of the purse away from Congress with his #FakeNationalEmergency.
I’ve observed Colorado @SenCoryGardner since his election. What I’ve seen has left me dismayed. Rather than building bipartisan bridges to get things done, Cory became a supine Trump yes-man. There are 1000s reasons he shouldn’t be re-elected. Here are 101: #VoteCoryOut #COsen

What we know: @CBPSouthTexas claims that their processing centers are full because ICE refuses to take any more transfers. Because of this they have no choice but to release hundreds of people to the bus station and humanitarian centers. We have reason to believe this is not true

President Trump is going to raid $3.5 billion from important military construction projects at home & abroad, including projects to upgrade military hospitals, improve training facilities for troops, & make overseas bases more secure, just to build a wall few think will even work
$90,200,000 in military construction projects in Ohio are being put at risk due to @POTUS's #FakeNationalEmergency. These projects contribute directly to the readiness of our servicemembers and improve national security. My full statement: bit.ly/2BMx3BA

Trump’s declaration of a national emergency is contrived & without factual basis. He even admitted he "didn't need to do it." It's an autocratic move--unconstitutional. Trump cannot make appropriation decisions; that's Congress' constitutional power. 1/3

Even if Trump can show that the declaration is constitutional, legally, he must show that using the funds is for the "national defense." There’s little chance he can convince the courts of this.
