#FM22 - Sassuolo Career. First Year: Milan has been at the top of the league table all year. I should beat Atalanta to reach EL (or ECL), but Atalanta is up for the title with Inter and Milan. 
I overperformed thanks to Scamacca (goalmachine ad a defensive forward) and thaks to a great job on the wings (Raspadori, Simone Bastoni and Tsimikas on the left, Berardi, Ciervo and Mudur on the right).
But I failed. Atalanta players were in a good shape and I lost. Also AC Milan lost the City of Milano Derby and Atalanta won the Serie A trophy. Juventus beat Sampdoria, so i haven't qualified for any european competition.

Isak has been a player I have been looking at since December of last year. He was strongly linked with Arsenal and I was very keen on the gunners to sign him.

This is what his profile looks like at 33 YEARS OLD. There is just no letting up for this beast, and he seemingly gets better with age. 18-20 attributes everywhere you look. Silly stuff.

Having missed out on qualification for the Champions League, as per the 2023-24 season, reaching the QFs of the UEFA Europa League went some way to make up for the reduction in prize money. Despite this, prize money still fell by £24.6m.
A fifth-place finish in the PL in the season just gone, having lost 4th place to Chelsea via defeat to Spurs on the last game of the season, means it will be Europa League football again for the Saints.
Another year has come to a close in #FM22 with my Southampton save. Read the thread for a financial update:

Given the increase in fixture numbers, with games against Real Madrid, Sporting Lisbon, and Olympique Lyon, this comes as no surprise. The double-digit growth in cash inflow across all of these areas and corporate facilities income helped mitigate the decline in 'other' income.
A reminder that last season Southampton had a takeover, whereby the new owners put substantial funding into the club to pay off some of the debts of the club run up with the old team of directors.

Wir haben dieses Jahr sehr souverän das Double geholt. Mit der dritten Meisterschaft in Folge sehe ich uns nun endlich in der Position, wo wir national dominieren. Nun geht es vor allem darum international Fortschritte zu machen.
Dort konnten wir uns in der Champions-League dieses Jahr leider ja nicht durchsetzen, sondern sind nur Gruppenvierter geworden.
Aber die 2. Quali in Folge ist ja schon mal ein großer Erfolg. Dazu eine ganze Reihe starker Leistungen.

Wir sind zum zweiten Mal in Folge Meister - und das mit deutlichem Abstand (auch weil FK Rigas dieses Jahr schwächelte). Zudem holten wir das erste nationale Double der Vereinsgeschichte.
Auch international war es eine Erfolgsgeschichte. Das Abenteuer aus dem Vorjahr trug uns noch in die 2. Ausscheidungsrunde der Euro League. In der neuen Saison qualifizierten wir uns das erste Mal in der Vereinsgeschichte für eine Champions-League-Gruppenphase und wurden da 3.
Es ist mal wieder Zeit für den #FM22 - Saisonrückblick zu meinem Save mit dem FS Metta. Nun für Saison 7 - im Meistertrainerforum (meistertrainerforum.de/index.php/topi…) und hier als Thread.
Wie immer fangen wir mit der Tabelle an: Endlich wieder Meister. Wir dominieren die Liga, schrammen hauchdünn an einer Saison ohne Niederlage vorbei und verweisen nach drei Vize-Titeln in Folge FK Rigas endlich wieder auf Platz 2.
International waren wir mal wieder bärenstark. In der Conference-League der Vorsaison überstanden wir eine K.O.-Runde. In der aktuellen Saison scheiterten wir zwar in der CL-Quali, überstanden aber die Euro-League-Gruppenphase, wo es nun also 2028 auch in der KO-Runde weitergeht.

Starten wir mit unserem Verein, dem FK Jonava.
Im ersten Jahr hatten wir wenig Probleme mit der 2. Liga. Ohne uns wirklich zu verstärken holten wir die taktische Brechstange heraus und marschierten mit einem 4-2-4 durch die Liga - der Meistertitel war Formsache 🏆

Leivis Nullnulys (15 Jahre alt!!!) schoss dabei in 24 Spielen 33 Tore und sicherte sich damit einen Platz in der Nationalelf und den Titel als bester Spieler der Liga.

I have searched anticipation and acceleration. Just a couple attributes I find important. Set the values to a respectable number and search for your gem!

We were on a search for a CM(a), somebody with high creativity but not useless out of possession. Months of searching and scouting, this AMC/ST had the perfect profile.

Die 5. Saison mit dem FS Metta im #FM22 - Der Rückblick im Thread
Wie immer beginnen wir mit der Abschlusstabelle. 3 Teams holen eine Rekord-Punktzahl. Am Ende sind wir zum 2. Mal in Folge Vize-Meister hinter FK Rigas, die einfach so was von gnadenlos effektiv waren.
Wir selbst spielten halt am Ende zu oft unentschieden. Dass die Konkurrenz die knappen Spiele eher für sich entschied, verdeutlicht auch noch mal der Blick auf die xG-Tabelle und die daraus resultierenden xP:

Der armenische Meister ist ein kleines Team gegen das wir eigentlich großer Favorit sein müssten. Aktuell kann ich die Stärke noch nicht final einschätzen, da wir von keinem der Spieler im Kader auch nur 1 Attribut kennen.

Die Saison (wir sind nun etwas über der Halbzeit) lief lange Zeit für uns grandios. Die ersten 3 Monate keine Niederlage, nur 2 Unentschieden bei 15 Siegen.
Doch dann im Juni eine Schwächephase mit Niederlange und zwei Unentschieden plus die Niederlage im Juli setzen uns zu.

Es bleibt aber extrem spannend, weil drei Teams vorweg marschieren. Neben uns und Titelverteidiger FK Rigas präsentiert sich auch Valmiera FC mit bislang nur 3 Niederlagen und 3 Unentschieden richtig stark.

Auch wenn ich schon am Anfang der 5. Saison bin, gibt es hier noch den den Saisonrückblick - und zwar auf das Jahr 2024. Bei der Übersichtskarte musste ich einen Haken entfernen, denn wir sind nicht mehr der beste Verein Lettlands.
Hier auch Zeugnis der verpassten Meisterschaft. Noch einmal Gratulation an die FK Rigas Futbola Skola. Mögen sie international auch einen guten Auftritt hinlegen. Wir greifen nächstes Jahr wieder an.
Dabei wird uns sicher Yunusa Muritala helfen, der auch dieses Jahr wieder unser Top-Torjäger war und das dritte Jahr in Folge über 30 Buden in allen Wettbewerben schoss.
Ich habe ja noch nicht verraten gegen wen es in der K.O.-Runde der Euro League geht.
Es ist der FC Porto, die sehr unglücklich mit nur einer Niederlage aus der Champions League ausgeschieden.

Das erste Spiel verlief dann doch in erwartbaren Bahnen - dabei ging es super los.

Leider schoss Florian Thauvin in der 19. direkt den Ausgleich. Dann ging es hin und her. Porto dominierte das Spiel, wir fuhren immer wieder gefährliche Konter, kamen nur zu selten zum Abschluss.

I am going to start a save with Oldham Athletic. This is in part the challenge and because as a fan of the entertaining & always informative @POF_POD, the demise of many old northern clubs at the hands of poor ownership is a loss to many local communities.

Oldham start with a transfer ban, so no signings in the 1st window. There is little (even for EFL L2) in the way of budget/finances, minimal staffing & an underdeveloped youth structure. A few local rivalries will keep it interesting too.
