Smith understood that capitalists hate capitalism. They don't want to compete with one another, because that would interfere with their ability to raise the prices their customers pay and reduce the wages they pay their workers.

Opening my heart out as a marketer-

Khalistan/Farm Bill Offline/ Online marketing campaign 2020

I feel utterly violated of my digital content rights for spreading malicious Anti-India viral propaganda.

How many more such disturbing marketing campaigns to come in India?
@narendramodi ban 'BIG 5' International marketing agencies in India for perpetually propagating Hinduphobia in India & world.

Please @narendramodi investigate& take legal action against Sonia Gandhi's @INCIndia& Pakistan for strategically planning the Khalistan/Farm bill offline
& online marketing campaign 2020 that was poorly executed & ended with a flop Bharat Bandh politically planned one day before Sonia's birthday today, 9th December like she does every year?

2/5. Remember the 3 Farm Bills (now laws) that were to ‘liberate’ farmers from the clutches of the evil APMC? Rammed through by the Centre, hailed by media and ‘expert’ economists. Damn! The liberated are biting the hands that never fed them.

🇺🇸 A national #food policy for the #UnitedStates:

Calls for a "National Food Policy" have been made for decades - with quite some resurgence in the past few years.

So, rooted in existing efforts & movement building, IPES-Food’s #US team is gearing up for more discussions.

/1
We're collectively developing a process through which policy makers, the private sector, researchers, tribal nations and civil society might align their efforts to make a sustainable US food system a reality. The aim? ...

/2
... Develop a shared understanding of US food & #agriculture policy landscape; build on organizational successes in bringing about #foodsystems change; identify opportunities to reform 2023 #FarmBill; & work towards #regenerative, #sustainable, & equitable food system.

#FarmBill is an excuse. Real reason is it threatens the monopoly of big farmers in Punjab & Haryana.

Hope PM @narendramodi doesn't back down on this like the land ordinance.

It is a key for doubling the farmers income especially those who have small land holdings.
Good idea. But it will have serious political ramifications. I would rather want all agricultural subsidies streamlined via DBT. @ARanganathan72

Another reason why #FarmBills must be passed. The monopoly of rich farmers (in Haryana & Punjab) must be broken. Small farmers would benefit from it.

🇺🇸 What about a U.S. #food policy? Is there even one to speak of right now? 🤷🏾‍♀️

Stay tuned during the coming weeks for more on a National Food Policy in the #UnitedStates.

... In the meantime, Molly Anderson and Ricardo Salvador give their take 👇🏾

The current U.S. food system is governed by a patchwork of uncoordinated policy frameworks and federal departments: #agriculture, #health, #environment, #energy, social security, #labor, #education.
So policies made at different levels of governance (e.g. municipal, state, tribal, federal) are often contradictory or disconnected from one another, leading to missed opportunities to support innovative local and regional #foodsystem initiatives already happening on the ground.

In Springfield today to announce more than $7.9 million in grants from @NBRC_Team to boost job growth in #VT. These funds will help grow our workforce, repair our infrastructure & give Vermont workers new skills for the modern economy.
We chose Springfield for this announcement because of @BRICvt. Their coworking & incubation space, & goal of growing startups in VT, is the type of project I had in mind when I expanded NBRC in the #FarmBill so all of VT would be eligible. They are receiving a $235k grant.
Federal grants will support the redevelopment of Main St in @Winooskivt, infrastructure in Newport, Burke, St. Albans & Randolph. Childcare & workforce efforts supported by @LetsGrowKids & @VTRoundtable.

The @USDA released a proposed rule to change the way states determine who qualifies for #SNAP, known as #CalFresh in CA. Today, I led my Democratic colleagues from the California Congressional Delegation in urging @SecretarySonny to rescind the proposal: panetta.house.gov/media/press-re…
California has relied on categorical eligibility to eliminate the asset test for #CalFresh. This ensures low-income families with substantial housing and childcare costs are still able to put food on their tables.
As members of Congress committed to an effective federal nutrition assistance program, we worked hard to pass a bipartisan #FarmBill that maintained states’ ability to opt into broad-based categorical eligibility.@USDA proposed rule would have harmful effects-it must be rescinded

BREAKING: House passes 2018 #FarmBill that maintains programs critical for Central Illinois farmers, strengthens agricultural research, and improves protections for organic products.
We’ve written a strong bill for our farmers, but 80% of this bill is SNAP. While there is a slight increase in employment and training, not every able-bodied adult will have access to this job training program like they would have under the House bill.
This is a missed opportunity, and if our economy is going to continue grow, we’re going to need to fill the jobs that are open. I hope Democrats in the House will set the election aside and make this a priority next year.

✅ My provision to give real power to the @USDA to tackle deadly plant diseases that continue to threaten the livelihood of hop growers in Oregon. wyden.senate.gov/news/press-rel…

At the beginning of the year, I pledged to get the #FarmBill done, so that we could provide Ohio farmers with the certainty they deserve – and I’m proud that this final bipartisan bill will do that.
This final bill protects funding for critical nutrition programs that feed Ohio families, makes historic investments in local foods, and continues to invest in programs to improve water quality in Lake Erie and across the state.
We secured important wins for Ohio dairy farmers, as well as soybean and corn farmers. Congress should move swiftly so that we can get this bill over the finish line. -SB

In the US Senate, I've made it a priority to raise awareness about the challenges in Indian Country & help stand up for Native American families. Follow along today and on Monday to learn more.
84% of Native American women experience violence in their lifetime. But outside of Indian Country, few people are aware of this epidemic. That’s why I introduced #SavannasAct to help law enforcement crack down on these horrible crimes.
Combating the crisis of missing & murdered Native American women is about hope, justice & letting Native women across the country know that they're #NotInvisible—and that’s what #SavannasAct aims to help achieve. Read more @inforum inforum.com/news/4339231-s…

Yet House Republicans, led by @ConawayTX11, are STILL pushing for massive cuts to nutrition assistance that would take food away from 2 million Americans.
These are the members of Congress who are deciding whether to maintain food assistance through SNAP—or to take food out of the mouths of hungry kids & families to pay for millionaire & corporate tax cuts👇👇👇

Shania Twain.
Being offensive doesn't mean you are being honest. It just means you are offensive. I used to respect you but you obviously haven't been paying attention to how Trump is an admitted sexual predator who is literally trying to take food out of the mouths of kids.
As he and the Republicans try to pass the #FarmBill that sets Single parents up to fail and will literally starve poor and low income children and adults, elderly, and disabled people who hone can't work or who do work as much as they can thus
"Working poor" , losing foodstamps.
3 who honestly can't work... typo, all simply because Trump and the
Republicans hate the poor just for being poor, seek to punish and humiliate them , and are evil and have no compassion. So while you admire Trump the sociopath's honesty, he's trying to kill poor people.
