So here’s a quick reminder of what we’ve done:
✔ After 150 years, 🇨🇦 now has a strategy to prevent and end gender-based violence. This means more support for survivors, creating a more responsive justice system, and improving efforts to prevent GBV in the first place. #FeministFriday
✔ We’re strengthening domestic violence laws – repeat offenders will face a higher maximum sentences and stricter bail conditions and we’ve widened the definition of intimate partner violence to ensure more people are protected. 👨⚖️👩⚖️ #FeministFriday
