A note to anyone calling for MSNBC to #FireChrisMathews:
his argument had nothing to do with who invaded France.
It was a historical reference to disbelief, in the face of evidence, that "le jeux sont fait."

And TBH, I wish that Matthews would leave his slot for other reasons... somebody needs to do a show for the History channel putting this election in its historical context.

So, there's no culpability here on Matthews' part... but there is a need to reconsider moving him (and, more importantly, Andrea Mitchell) into roles where they aren't ostracizing younger viewers on a daily basis.
