سکھ عہد میں قلعے کیساتھ متعدد عمارتیں تعمیر کرکے اسےیکسر تبدیل کر دیا گیا۔
1808میں قلعے کورنجیت سنگھ نے اپنے 6 سالہ

اور تاریخ کے قارئین کے علم میں ھو گا کہ انیسویں صدی میں عہد فرنگی میں
1811 میں یہ قلعہ رنجیت سنگھ کی بیوی مہارانی داتا کور اور اس کے بیٹے کھڑک سنگھ کو نواز دیا گیا جہاں وہ اپنی زندگی کے آخری ایام تک رہیں۔
