So that's it for my podcast playlist (bit.ly/2pQ2kRc). My only other advice is you should start your own, we need more podcasts in epidemiology! #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
I do want to note that when I made the podcast playlist, @EpiEllie and @LucyStats had not yet released their new Casual Inference podcast, so definitely go give that one a listen! stitcher.com/podcast/amjepi… #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub

This is another podcast from two psychology researchers, @dsquintana and @jamesheathers, but it also is very relevant to those of us in epidemiology. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
They describe it best “A podcast by scientists, for scientists. Methodology, scientific life, and bad language.” #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub

This is the first academic podcast I listened to and if I’m being honest, is the one that got me to want to make my own podcast. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
It is hosted by three smart and humorous psychology professors Alexa Tullett (@alexa_tullett), Simine Vazire (@siminevazire) and Sanjay Srivastava (@hardsci) (all people you should follow on twitter). #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub

Next up on my podcast playlist (bit.ly/2pQ2kRc) is The Effort Report @theeffortreport, another in the genre of academic podcasts, not focused on the research itself but much more on academic life and how it pertains to research #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
Hosted by Roger Peng (a biostatistician) @rdpeng and Elizabeth Matsui (an allergy researcher) @elizabethmatsui, this one is great to listen to for tips in making academic life go smoother. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
As the name suggests, this is about how academics spend their time and I’d say it is largely about how to succeed in academia. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub

I have described this as the breakout star of the #epidemiology podcast world. Hosted by the two Erins @theedubs and @epidemicerin, this podcast has largely focused on infectious diseases. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
They take one diseases (e.g. measles) per episode and talk about the history, epidemiology and social impact. And they do it with lots of humor. This is a really fun one to listen to and you will laugh out loud while you learn. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub

I feel weird plugging my own podcast so I’ll be brief on this one. It is co-hosted by @iddocgill and was hosted by @dthea1 but recently hosting duties have been taken over by @jenniferrrider. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
This one is a three segment podcast. Segment 1 is our longest and we do a journal club format. We take an article that got a lot of press coverage and discuss it to see if we think it meets the claims in the headlines. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub

The next podcast I recommend is AcaDames @AcaDamesPodcast from Whitney Robinson @WhitneyEpi and Sarah Birken @birkensarah acadamespodcast.com #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
Let me start by saying this podcast has the most amazing intro music of any podcast I listen to and it only gets better from there. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
They lead into the podcast by saying “A podcast about women in academia, living the dream… or are we?” I think that sums it up. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub

Today I’m taking over the SER twitter handle and I’ll be tweeting about a new #SER playlist on "podcasts for epidemiology" epiresearch.org/2019/11/05/pod… #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
Many of you know I have a passion for podcasts, I listen to them all the time and I wanted to share my favorites relevant to SER and epi and tell you why I love them. #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
You can find the playlist on the SER website once you log in as a member (yet another reason to join @societyforepi if you are not already a member, it is such a great organization) #SERplaylist #FoxSERjournalclub
