While I might not be qualified to comment on this, in my humble opinion #FreeHinduTemples can actually lead to a mini economic revolution of sorts, provided the government encourages them to use their excess funds to provide ancilliary services. (2)
So while the temple gets taken care of , the land around the temple can host other facilities like Bhojanalaya, Aushadhi Kendra, Gaushala, Pustakalaya etc. Heck we temples can have attached schools, research centres, vedic math centers and startup incubation centres. (3)

1. On 01/03/2021 we have filed a representation before the @CMofKarnataka and HRCE Commissioner pointing out several issues of financial misappropriation, mismanagement in Sri Kukke Subramanya Temple. The representation has been filed by our lawyer @ShreehariK.
2. Temple books haven't been audited for last 5 yrs. Previously audit was conducted for FYs 2008-09 to 2011-12 in 2015 & for FYs 2012-13 to 2014-15 in 2016. The Audit reports pointed out numerous inaccuracies, errors, mistakes apart from instances of mismanagement.
3. Some of the issues highlighted are:
a. Non-preparation of Budget for each year prior to commencement of the year.
This indicates non-maintenance of regular books of account and thus lack of data for preparation of budget.

This new controversy regarding #FreeHinduTemples reminds me of our Supervisor who a few years ago had bought a plot of land on the outskirts of the city & built his modest house.
Slowly as other houses were built & occupied the talk of a temple came up.

What began as an idea to bring together a community has in fact split them right down the middle with the local MLA

The source of hatred towards Sadhguru protected on SM by a certain section of Hindu Traditionalists seems to be based on him successfully galvanizing massive public support to #FreeHinduTemples!
