What we need to disconnect is this notion that the role of the federal government is to keep us "safe". I don't want you to keep me "safe", for your definition of "safety" has simply become subservience.

Should I continue this list? Because I definitely could, and probably for the rest of the afternoon. Why? Because EVERY TOPIC is coerced this way by our "bleeding hearts". Everything they want is safety, science, human rights. Any form of dissent is abhorrent and disinformation.
I'd like to go back to a society where private restaurant owners can allow smoking, and if you don't like second-hand smoke, then you can elect to eat at one of the many that prohibit it.

I obviously wrote the above quite flippant, but there is a lot of sincerity buried in there. How did we get to a point where a smoker who invests the resources and takes on the risk of opening his own restaurant is prohibited from his customers smoking inside of it? Fuck that!
I'm drilling into a theme here, right? We went so damn far down the road of Govt Daddy being our safety provider that it strayed into derangement based on moralizing and sanctimony.
