Torben, who was very active on the tennis circuit, was the son of an Olympic tennis player. He didn't go "pro" until 1969, signing with WCT-World Championship Tennis, having earlier played as an amateur. He was 40 when he signed up - after most players have already retired.
He made more than 100 appearances at the @DavisCup for #Denmark. Over his career, he made the fourth round at #RolandGarros, @Wimbledon, and @usopen. He even made the semis at the USO in 1959, losing to the blockbuster combo of Emerson/Laver. He was very talented - no doubt.
