(1/23) This thread is mainly addressed to my #German followers, but it could also be interesting for those who always wanted to know how Germany could become the most culturally leftist country on the European continent. Accordingly, this thread is a #political #commentary by me.
(2/23) It is about the historical personality of the first post-war chancellor, Konrad Adeneauer. I also would like to finally dispel a myth that still plagues German conservatives, by which I do not mean recationaries, but all those who do not want to destroy their own country.
(3/23) This myth is the myth of the "good old", #50s and #60s, #CDU (Christian Democratic Party) and the question of what role a post-war #Germany could have played if #Adenauer and his party had not made completely wrong decisions about essential political directions.

My cousin the „Jungpionier“

Although my cousin, born in March 1983, so the same year as I, just 8 months before, she was the only one of us two that actually became a real "Jungpionier", because she started school in 1989. Image
I on the other hand was denied this "award". Unbelievable! She also had the pleasure of eight weeks of summer vacation, at least once in her life.

I had my first day of school in August 1990, a few weeks before the German reunification.
So by then, the fall of the Berlin Wall was less than a year ago and I proudly displayed my white dress with its purple silk bow and uncomfortable patent leather shoes at the „Einschulung“ (first day of school).

Good question.

#NCYT has been installing Q16s and Q32s weekly now in the NHS, so what they've done with the care home trial is expand it now to include the NHS hospitals.

#ALNOV #NVYTF #GDR #AVCT #N4P #FEVR #GSK #HCN #ABC #QGEN #DDDD #RMS
The care home Q16/Q32 trial held up to lab testing.

Excellent.

What happens if you go all-in, and get data from supply to hospital wards too?

Well if it can hold 99%, then you can approve rapid RT-qPCR machines as permanent installations across the entire NHS and social care
We obviously want our kit in there, but what we're suggesting is an entire rewrite of the UK's microbiology network.

That involves change at all levels of the NHS - a major public policy change too.

Nothing has been done on this scale in diagnostics in our generation.

Time's ticking.

Flu season is coming and lockdown is ending with a 20k+ per day infection rate in the UK

We support @PrimerdesignLtd over other companies because we believe in their earnest work and the quality of their innovation.

As investors and traders we can easily take money and put it into a whole host of stocks which we think might 'bag or multi-bag' - just to make money - even though we don't really know or genuinely care for those companies or products.
Many of us here now have been holding because there is a genuine team at @PrimerdesignLtd & @MicrogenBioProd and they are worth following and investing in.

If your relatives were vulnerable in a care home..

Do you trust visitors tested by PrimerDesign or by something else?

Professor Jo Martin in the picture below is hard at work finishing off the report and recommendations for NPT Care Home testing in the UK.

She is one of the UK Gov's advisors at the DHSC and Head of Pathology.

Here she is with #NCYT Q16.

#ALNOV #ODX #GDR #AVCT #SNG Image
The Novacyt Q16 she's holding in her palm is small yet it can perform 14 Gold Standard tests in an hour (average throughput of around 4mins per test).

However the CEO said last week they have a NEW innovation for it. They're going speed it up and simplify it even more.
This was one of the CEO's typically understated additions - where he has a habit of sneaking in massive bombshells without the market noticing.

This new update coming for the Q16's & Q32's turns these amazing devices..

Market cap, as pointed out by a hedge fund last night, is

"Currently lower than expected cash in bank come June 2021"

Find ANY other company on the stock market in that situation and post here. #NCYT is a once in a generation stock.

#ALNOV #ODX #AVCT #GDR #SNG #N4P
If investors don't understand what that means, it means that Novacyt will eventually re-rate come 2021, and it will have a market capitalisation of 1 to 2 billion and keep growing.

To miss something so obvious, you will never have any credibility

I see also #GDR shareholders are coming under pressure.

4th Aug RNS is clear ;
"We are both working to have the ongoing validation completed in approximately 6 weeks, with initial introduction in the USA at an already identified clinical laboratory."
2/3
GDR has its CE Mark. So this in my view is a fast track process to achieve US authorisation. Hence why the above statement talks about completing validation and then straight into "initial introduction."

A very large entity in the form of Beckman is driving it,
3/3
So its far better, connected hands, than GDR.

Guidance was "approximately 6 weeks" but as its an FDA approval, the exact timeline can never be known.

Achieve it and many avenues open up, which as we enter Winter and elevated Covid cases, should lead to sig. demand.

Been focused on other things for a few days but a few thoughts on shares I hold, given the perceived turmoil.

Main focuses for me for a while now, has been shares exposed to Covid, battery metals (incl. energy storage) and gold.

#HZM #BCN #ACP #GDR #AVCT #SRB #BMN
2/13
The events of the last few days if anything strengthen that stance.

In terms of Covid (and I tread carefully because both my stocks have other things in their locker), its a waiting game on both.

I think 1 strong update from #GDR and it moves much higher from here.
3/13
In terms of #AVCT, an update, one way or the other is pending, whereby the exact progress of BAMS/LFT tests, should be made clearer.

I see no reason for concern and the lockdown measures announced today in the UK, only go to strengthen that argument. Nothing has changed.

For my sins, I continue to hold my #GDR shares because I believe there is still significantly more value to be had, from their Covid test and in particular their partnership with Beckman, which is now hitting the approximate 6 weeks "ongoing validation" completion target.
2/4
Furthermore, its been so long since GDR announced anything outside Becker, that the percentages say more must be in the pipeline. Think FDA, WHO approvals etc but also the Antibiotic Induced Hearing Loss (AIHL) project, with product launch due for Autumn 2020,
3/4
be it an update is over due on this.

My detailed analysis of AVCT demonstrates to me that the best global Covid testing products, will maintain a solid market for several years.

This thought process amplifies itself for a company such as GDR,

#GDR trading update 10th July.

"Over £1.0m of indicative orders for Genedrive® 96 SARS-CoV-2 kit, pending regulatory approvals" is a very solid start, given that they are working through those regulatory approvals.

More importantly on a 2021 thinking basis.

"expectation remains to sign a new contract with the US DoD in autumn 2020"

I have finally managed to track down the full Vox markets #GDR video.

"manufacturing capacity with Cytiva, 10,000 tests per hour and clearly the more you work, the longer you run, the more tests you can make."

"£8-10 a test (x96) with 60% gross margin."

"Sensitivity 100%, specificity 98.2%, PPV 99.2% and NPV 100%"

GDR states test has least number of workflow inputs (4) and has ambient shipping/storage, which many competitors cannot offer.
(3/6)
So we have easier use, which gives it competitive advantages, which means it will sell.

Key point in the Q&A ;
"manufacturing is 10,000 per hour, which means you could do 80,000 in an 8 hour working shift."

Those wishing to take a serious look at likely roll out dates for the Oxford/AZ Covid vaccine, if indeed successful, I would suggest watching the following ;

#AVCT #GDR

Professor Madhi is leading the S.A. phase 2 trial, which began this week.
(2/10)
According to Prof. Madhi, Oxford vaccine is the most advanced in terms of clinical development.

When will it be available to the public?

"best guess right now is probably around about Sept/Oct of next year, provided that we actually show that the vaccine works this year"
(3/10)
"longer that we delay being able to show that the vaccine actually works, the further it pushes out the timeline."

The interesting thing is that GHIF could have taken $2m (£1.58m) at 28.75p, which would have given them 5.48m shares, which could have been offloaded for a decent profit.

Lets say they sell for £1. That's an easy £3.9m profit.

This would have left $6m as a loan,
#GDR
(2/3)
which would have continued to accrue interest + the $1.46m of interest already accrued. No risk.

At 7.1m shares all in at 95.3p and 2m locked in, they would have to sell the other 5.1m for ave. c. £1.76 a share, to make the same profit.

And that assumes that
(3/3)
the 5.48m shares were sold for the lowest price seen these last few weeks/months + the 2m that are left locked in, are completely out of their control price wise.

Why they have done what they have done, is debatable but it certainly doesn't smack of maximising profits.

That conversion of the #GDR GHIF convertible bond has commenced should come as no surprise to anyone because its existence was clearly sign posted in the 5th May placing announcement.

What is interesting is the conversion price and the cash payment.

5th May RNS ;
(2/6)
"$2.0 million of the GHIF Bond can be converted at 28.75p and the remainder at 150p at GHIF's discretion"

$2m @ $1.27 and 28.75p = 5.48m shares.

$6m @ $1.27 and 150p = 3.15m shares.

Total = 8.63m + interest accrued.
(3/6)
Today's RNS states the full $9.46m (bond + interest accrued), has been converted for 7.1m shares and £685k in cash.

$9.46m @ $1.27 = £7.45m

Deduct the £685k cash payment and its 7.1m new shares at 95.3p a share.

Continued talk of a Covid bubble.

My view.

The actual number of cases going forward, won't be what drives this. It'll be the fear factor.

The WHO already pushing nations to prepare for a second wave this Winter.
(2/5)

That means mass testing throughout the Summer and that Winter. Whatever the results. Whatever the number of cases. . . because nations/businesses/people, worldwide, will pay to avoid another lock down.

What government having finally been given the capacity to test,
(3/5)
is going to risk not testing big time, in Winter?

What airpor's going to remove testing at the time of year when the most amount of passengers are showing symptoms, be it they could be common colds?

Given what we have been through already, who is going to make that call,

I cannot believe the nonsense playing out with #GDR today.

If investors don't arm themselves with enough research before taking a position, they will surely make bad decisions.

This is the interview that gives the detail that matters.

There is a valid argument to be had that #GDR disrespected their shareholders with the 80p last week.

However, the raise has to be taken in the context of the bigger picture and what GDR are attempting to achieve, in a very short period of time.

Here's a theory.
(2/4)

GDR have a pre-order in for the raw materials for 6m tests, raw materials that are in short supply.

They go live with their product in May.

Proceeds of raise are due end of May.
(3/4)

So perhaps this raise had to be put to bed now, in order to secure significant first production quickly and open the company up to significant revenues and in turn, exploit further more expansive production.

That would mean GDR working that raise, despite a spike in SP.
