Live from Dublin. I'm here for the 3rd set of International Grand Committee hearings tomorrow where Parliaments from around the world will hear from a number of witnesses on harmful content, political interference, hate and the structural problems enabling this harm.
The idea to bring democratic Parliaments together as a positive answer to need for info sharing & tech platforms resistance to answering questions globally. It was hatched by UK and Canadian Parliamentarians in a DC pub (as many good ideas are) on eve of Atlantic Council meeting.
There is a conference today with panels of academic and industry experts weighing in on issues ahead of the hearing tomorrow. The IGC has great momentum with US rep attending for first time. (note: many UK and Canada delegates won't be in attendance due to timing of elections).
